What is Agentic SDLC?
The agentic SDLC is a software development life cycle in which AI agents carry out stages such as analysis, design, implementation, testing, review and release, with humans approving key decisions.
The software development life cycle does not disappear when agents arrive; it gets new participants. In an agentic SDLC, agents can turn a ticket into requirements, propose a design, implement it, write and run tests, review the pull request and prepare the release, while people approve the plan, the merge and the deployment.
A typical flow
- Ticket: a human writes or approves the task and acceptance criteria.
- Plan: an agent proposes the approach; a human approves it.
- Build and test: agents implement and verify the change in parallel.
- Review: an AI reviewer and a human reviewer check the pull request.
- Release: the existing CI/CD pipeline ships the approved change.
MG9 demonstrates this flow live on stage, from ticket to production.
